My Good Friend and My Worst Enemy
I don't know why but I feel that I've been procrastinating a lot lately. My work's a bit off track ,my time tracking methods are all over the place, and at the end of the day, I feel that I've done nothing. What I do to keep track of my task is, I have a notebook that I'll write down the ALL the things I need to do today. This past week, its the same list everyday with only 20% of it crossed out. Wonderful, yes?
On Saturday, I was watching Pursuit of Happyness (great movie btw, worth watching), and Chris Gardner (played by Will Smith) had to put in 9 hours equivalent of work just into 6 hours so he can run across town, pickup his son, take the bus to rush to the homeless shelter before it fills up. Procrastination was definitely not in this man's dictionary. Forest would have been proud seeing him run. I guess the thing I've learned from watching the movie was that no matter how much more time you think you need, if you learn to manage it wisely, you'll find the right amount of time. Also I wanna share this quote I found while trying to read up on procrastination:
Procrastination is like masturbation. At first it feels good, but in the end you're only screwing yourself.

Let me tell you a secret. I'm actually procrastinating while writing this damn thing down. I swear I have the attention span just like Homer. Time to buzz off and prepare for another day. Peace!
